The European success of the KBS genetic improvement program It’s a tradition for KBS genetic to be host in one of the most important show in France, the Festival de l’Elevage in Brive. This year the show was really wonderful, with tremendous animals and with a big participation of visitor, mostly breeders and professionals from all over Europe. In this outstanding event the best animals of KBS have been displayed in the annual Prestige XIV sale. An extraordinary sale last Saturday: 49 fantastic animals sold for a total amount of 300,000.00 euro and an average of 6,100.00 euro and the record for polled animals of 6,800.00 euro average. The Top price was Flamme, a pregnant heifer very impressive for her volume and conformation, born in the Gaec of Chatelus herd (Mr. Pericat), has been sold for 16,000.00 euro to a Northern Ireland breeder. Big success also for the GIE Polled Excellence, the group of breeder that, since more than 10 years, invests on the polled genetic and select and promote new polled bloodlines. The group purchased Hercule, polled bull son of Frisson, from the Daniel Peyrot herd. The second top price of the sale is the first son of Frisson sold (Tigris bloodline, KBS AI, and Colombe, one of the best cows of the herd). More than 60% of the animals sold outside France: Belgium, Wales, Germany, England, Ireland, North of Ireland, Italy and Spain. KBS is more and more International!
