The Festival de l’Elevage in Brive and KBS : a successful partnership! The 16th Prestige sale was once again a success both for the quality and quantity of animals offered for sale (35 young bulls, 5 bulls, 8 yearling heifers, 2 maiden heifers and 1 cow with calf at foot) and the fidelity of our buyers. It has also confirmed that the challenge undertaken by KBS to produce polled animals as good as horned animals has been successfully met.
Out of the 18 polled animals, there was a homozygous bull for sale for the first time in a Prestige sale. IFI, born in the GAEC Crouchet-Plas herd, a son of HINZ PP (KBS AI bull) and FLEURI Pp (a RYDE URANOS daughter) was the top price of the sale (€ 16.400). There were also 5 double muscle bulls to meet the growing demand for extreme beefy bulls. ISIDORE, a young bull born in the Rochard herd, a son of FABIO and EDEN, got the 2nd top price in the sale (€ 16.000) and was sold to Ireland.
