The Irish Limousin Cattle Society organized their famous livestock sale on 10th of March in Roscrea. Almost 150 bulls were offered for sale and reached an average price of 3 645 €. The top price of the sale went to the Reserve Senior Champion ROUNDHILL HOT SHOT from the herd of Tim Corridan, Fedamore, Co. Limerick that was bought by John McSorley and Sons based in Omagh, Co. Tyrone for 7 100 €. ROUNDHILL HOT SHOT is a true KBS bull, a son of Dollar born in the Pellenard herd on Andrea, a French cow (Usuel daughter). He is a beefy type bull with exceptional widths, a wide and flat pelvis and a big hindquarter. ELITE HUNTER ET from Edward Tynan, Mountrath, Co. Laois was awarded second in his class and was sold for 5 200 € to Messrs K.I. & E. & H.I. Jones, Bryn Ddraenen, Conwy. ELITE HUNTER, another bull with KBS origins, is a mixed beefy type bull, a son of the famous EMERSON (an OBJAT son on the cow BAVIERE, bred by Mr Pellenard), with a lot of style, good lengths, strong breed characteristics and an exceptional pelvis area. A promising bull that will have volume and shape. ELITE HALL, full brother of ELITE HUNTER and as good as him, awarded first of his class, was purchased by T. Akrigg, Manor Farm, Cray, Skipton for 4 600 €. Also selling at €7,100 was the first prize winner CASTLEBOY IARLA bred by Peter Kelly, Kilchreest, Co. Galway. A mixed type bull, a son of the famousNENUPHAR, he has got good volume, an outstanding pelvis area and very good lengths. He was bought by Owain Llyr of the Wern Herd, Ruthin, North Wales, KBS agent for the UK.
